Bio
I'm Avery, a 20 year old professional bassist born and raised in San Diego, California. I currently study Double Bass Performance and Business at San Diego State University. I've been performing live for almost a decade in a diverse assortment of genres, whether it be classical, jazz, funk, gospel, classic rock, pop, metal, or just about anything else. I am extremely versatile in my craft, and spend most of my time working as a freelance bassist playing live shows with various artists around San Diego. I am known for my ability to easily fit right in to any musical group or genre, and for my bass tone that has been described by many as "beefy." I am currently the principal bassist of the San Diego State Symphony Orchestra and an electric bassist in three thriving rock bands local to San Diego. I've played at some well known venues such as House of Blues, SOMA, Music Box, and Balboa Theatre.

My Story
From the day I picked up my first instrument, music has been my most passionate outlet. I create it not only to express myself, but to inspire others to allow their emotions to take over, to bring everyone in a room into the same metaphysical space. I believe releasing yourself to music is the most healing experience a person can have.
